Once I was asked why the Lord has called me to the Religious and Priestly Life, and my answer could not be but the He called me. For the rest I do not know!

The call to follow Christ more closely and as His Priests is a wonderful vocation and we should be proud to be Rogationists and Priests. While we celebrate the year for Priests it should be evident to others that we are proud of our being at the fellowship of Jesus Christ and that we treasure our responsibility in the Word of God, in the Rogate, in the Sacraments and especially the Eucharist and the Confession. The people surely will recognize if we love what we are!

The Advent season is an occasion for us to prepare ourselves to welcome and be other Christs reflecting more on the mystery of God which is in us. The people are expecting to hear from us our personal experience of God, which depends on how we deepen our relationship with Him by knowing and lovingĀ  Him more and more. Although our dedication to the ministry , particularly the administration of the Sacraments and the service of the people and of the poor will sanctify us, it will do so only in so far as we have an authentic spiritual life, nourished by personal prayer and acceptance of the daily sufferings. As Rogationists it is prayer and participation to the interior sufferings of the Heart of Jesus that make us active Rogationists building up the Kingdom of Christ .

Let us go on the Advent journey strengthening our hope by prayer and sacrifice. In this way we will rediscover the wonder of our Rogationist vocation.
