 As a pontifical clerical religious Institute, founded by St. Hannibal Mary Di Francia (1851-1927), the Congregation of the Rogationists of the Heart of Jesus (RCJ) finds its spirituality in the words of Jesus in the Gospel “The harvest is rich but the workers are few. Pray, therefore, the Lord of the harvest that He may send workers into His harvest" (Mt.9:37-38/Lk.10:2).

We are the clay,

You are the Potter;

we are all the work of Your hand.

Seminaries as necessary for religious and priestly formation are the locus where the whole training of the students should have as its object to make them true shepherds of souls after the example of our Lord Jesus Christ, teacher, priest and shepherd (OT4).

Part of the students’ integral formation,

seminaries ensure their spiritual, human, intellectual and cultural formation. As seed-beds of vocations, seminaries offer the means to foster and verify the values constituting the seeds of vocation to young people with good attitudes and an initial desire of consecration proportional to their age (RI 311).

The initial formation of the candidates while studying philosophical courses is done in Fr. Hannibal Formation Center (Manila), for those coming from Luzon,

and in St. Hannibal Formation Center (Cebu)

for those coming from Visayas and Mindanao.
