In celebration of the Year of the Clergy and Consecrated Persons in the Philippines this 2018, the Rogationists and the Daughters of Divine Zeal, with the entire Rogate Family, jointly held the Grand Supplica - the annual prolonged prayer of 34 petitions raised to God, the Father, in the Most Holy Name of Jesus, through the Holy Spirit (parallel liturgy were simultaneously held in all areas in the country where the two Congregations and their lay collaborators are). The Feast Day commenced with the Holy Mass, presided over by Fr. Herman Abcede, RCJ which was followed by a Conference facilitated by Fr. Viktor Emmanuel Aurellana, RCJ and Sr. Gladys Manuel, FDZ, both deepening on the Philippine Church's journey towards its commemoration of beginning of its Catholic evangelization five centuries back and the Rogate Family's intention to live by this faith through its mission for the centuries yet to come. The long-anticipated Supplica proper was together prayed with much solemnity, before a lunch was shared. This day's activities, which all took place at the Fr. Hannibal Formation Center on January 31, 2018, officially opened a year-long series of common festivities organized by the collaborators, daughters and sons of St. Hannibal Mary Di Francia, highlighting their commitment to be renewed servant-leaders for the new evangelization. May the Name of the Jesus be praised, now and forever!
