September 8, 2018, Feast of the Birth of our Blessed Mother, Mary, was for the St. Matthew Province, Our Lady of Divine Zeal Province, the members of the Union of Prayer for Vocations and all other members of the Rogate Family, a moment to pray together and to celebrate the giftedness of their family members in the Rogate through the celebration of the liturgy. It was also a moment to listen, in a simple conference, to selected lay collaborators who have been part of the Family of the Rogate for quite some time. Through their sharing of experiences, participants are called to reflect on the importance of the clergy and consecrated persons in their own journey of faith. During the Holy Mass, presided over by Fr. Herman Abcede, 14 religious students were instituted in the Ministry of Lector, and 5 others in the Ministry of Acolyte. Fr. John Joffer Lucas, in his homily, stressed the beauty of being servants of the Word and the Body of Jesus, of which Mary remains to be the best model. In this same liturgy, the Rogationist Mission Day 2018, which is dedicated to a project in Aluva, Kerala, India, was officially launched. The whole event hosted by the Fr. Di Francia Center of Studies, took as theme, "Commitment to the Mission of Jesus through Mary as an assurance of fidelity to and unity within the Rogate Family”.
