As a pontifical clerical religious Institute, founded by St. Hannibal Mary Di Francia (1851-1927), the Congregation of the Rogationists of the Heart of Jesus (RCJ) finds its spirituality in the words of Jesus in the Gospel “The harvest is rich but the workers are few. Pray, therefore, the Lord of the harvest that He may send workers into His harvest" (Mt.9:37-38/Lk.10:2).

South Korean Medical Mission in the Philippines

October 3, 2018

The Rogationists of the Heart of Jesus – Missionary Station of Seoul, South Korea organized once again a Medical Mission in the Philippines, co-organized by various groups: Joseph Clinic (Malabon City), Lukes Association of OSAN Vicariate of Diocese of Suwon, South Korea and sponsored by Jeju Air INC, Yeongduengpo Joseph Clinic and Galgotdong Parish Church.
On September 23, 2018, the first day of the medical mission was held at St. Francis of Assisi Chapel-Sitio IPO, Brgy. Bunducan, Bocaue, Bulacan. The mission started with a Sunday Mass, attended by the medical team and the villagers of Sitio IPO. There were almost 600 hundred patients accommodated on that day, either for internal health check-up, for their dental and for infants and children. Aside from the medical team, there were also some volunteers who joined the mission in order to assist the Korean Doctors and Nurses in the organization of the said activity.

In the afternoon, the team also organized a feeding program for all the villagers especially for the children. The feeding program was in coordination with the Sto. Cristo and St. Andrew Kim Taegon Parish of Bulacan. The day ended with smiles and laughters both for the villagers and the medical team who in one way or the other felt inspired to continue sharing their services towards the Filipino community.
On September 24, 2018, the second day of the medical mission was held at the Sto. Rosario Parish, Dampalit, Malabon City. On this day, there were almost 600 patients, children and old, men and women present and were accommodated for check-up and consultation. There were also an acupuncture and ventosa session during this day vis-à-vis with the main mission for dental, internal health check-up and for health consultation of infants and children. The mission started in the morning and ended late in the afternoon. It was a smooth and successful activity spreading the work of the Rogate towards the poor and the less fortunate.
On September 25, 2018 as the final day of the medical mission, the whole team celebrated the Holy Mass at Sto. Cristo and St. Andrew Taegon Parish in the morning. In the afternoon, the whole team paid a visit to Barasoain Church, Malolos, Bulacan and to Puning Hot Spring, Porac, Pampanga for a cultural exposure and for short relaxation as well, before they heading back to South Korea. In the late evening of the same day, at 11:00pm, the team flew back to South Korea.
