As a pontifical clerical religious Institute, founded by St. Hannibal Mary Di Francia (1851-1927), the Congregation of the Rogationists of the Heart of Jesus (RCJ) finds its spirituality in the words of Jesus in the Gospel “The harvest is rich but the workers are few. Pray, therefore, the Lord of the harvest that He may send workers into His harvest" (Mt.9:37-38/Lk.10:2).

New Government of the St. Matthew Province

October 19, 2018

At the end of the St. Matthew Provincial Chapter, the New Provincial Superior was elected followed by the election of the new provincial councilors and reelection of some councilors of the Province. They are:

Fr. Orville Cajigal - Provincial Superior
Fr. Dexter Prudenciano - Vicar and Councilor on Charity and Missions
Fr. Jose Ariel Tecson - Councilor on Religious Life and Formation
Fr. Ulrich Gacayan - Councilor on the Rogate
Fr. Alfonso Flores - Councilor on Laity, Youth Ministry and Parishes
Bro. Nilo Pelobello - Provincial Treasurer

The Province thanked the past Provincial Government led by Fr Herman Abcede (Provincial Superior), together with his Council, Fr. John Lucas (Vicar and Councilor on the Rogate), Fr. Ariel Tecson (incumbent Councilor on Religious Life and Formation), Fr. Orville Cajigal (Councilor on Charity and Missions) and Bro. Nilo Pelobello (Councilor on the Administration of Goods) who generously dedicated themselves in service of the Rogate and the Church!

The Province will also continue to prayi for the new Provincial Government as they embark on the journey in guiding the Rogationist St. Matthew Province and in service to the Church! May they be inspired by the same Spirit of the Rogate who moved St. Hannibal Mary Di Francia.

Send, O Lord, holy Apostles into Your Church!
