As a pontifical clerical religious Institute, founded by St. Hannibal Mary Di Francia (1851-1927), the Congregation of the Rogationists of the Heart of Jesus (RCJ) finds its spirituality in the words of Jesus in the Gospel “The harvest is rich but the workers are few. Pray, therefore, the Lord of the harvest that He may send workers into His harvest" (Mt.9:37-38/Lk.10:2).

Visit to the Bishop of Laoag

March 29, 2019

On March 29, 2019, Fr. Orville Cajigal, RCJ, the Provincial Superior of St. Matthew Province visited the Bishop of Laoag, Most Rev. Renato Mayugba, DD, together with the members of the Missionary Station of St. Lawrence the Deacon Parish in Bangui, Ilocos Norte - Fr. Silvestre Robiñol, RCJ, Fr. Tristan Angelo Palado, RCJ, and Fr. Tirso Alcover, Jr., RCJ. The group arrived at the Cathedral of Laoag at 8:30am and went straight to the Bishop's Residence. The good Bishop welcomed them warmly, then, went on discussing matters related to presence and services of the Rogationists in the parish and school in Bangui. It was a moment of sharing and fruitful exchange of thoughts. The Bishop, in fact, asked that the Rogationists stay and reach farther out to the peripheries, especially to the indigenous people of Dumalneg. Most Rev. Mayugba even gave an assurance of his full support to the religious community, particularly in its mission to spread the spirit of the ROGATE.
